Before retiring, David Gould was Executive Principal of ÃÛèÖÍø Boulton Academy, which opened in September 2015,Ìýand former Principal at ÃÛèÖÍø St Alban’s Academy,Ìýwhich opened in September 2009.Ìý He was also Regional Director of Secondary Education for ÃÛèÖÍø in Birmingham. ÌýAs Principal at ÃÛèÖÍø St Alban's,ÌýDavid improved student outcomes over 16 years with significant improvements in GCSE results. His tireless and focused work resulted in theÌýschool being named as one of the country’s best schools on the value-added measure,Ìýwith pupils making outstanding progressÌýduring their time at the Academy.Ìý HeÌýalso helped the Academy to build a strong community presence - forgingÌýstrong links with Birmingham Central MosqueÌýandÌýwithÌýthe local Sikh and Hindi populations in the community.Ìý Prior to joining ÃÛèÖÍø, DavidÌýwas the Head Teacher of St Alban’sÌýCEÌýSpecialist Engineering College.
